Parking

A range of on-plot and off-street parking measures are proposed across the site, which are supplemented by on-street visitor car parking.

On Plot Side Parking

  • Parking is accommodated on-plot, with single or double driveways between buildings.
  • Parking spaces is accommodated behind building lines.
  • Parking space can be accommodated on corners where enclosure will be provided through use of brick walls.

On Plot Front Parking

  • The front parking court typology can be used to achieve a consistent frontage.
  • It gives opportunity to provide space for planting shrubs/ hedges and street trees (minimum every 4-6 parking spaces) in line with various character area specifications.
  • Use of contrasting coloured sets and T marks will help to define parking spaces.
  • A defensible landscape space should be provided in front of each property
On Plot Front Parking

On Plot Integral Garages

  • Single garage considered as parking spaces are included within the footprint of the dwelling, and would need to conform to the minimum sizes listed in the NHDC Vehicle Parking at New Development SPD should they need to be counted for parking provision.
  • Carport will be without garage doors, for example under FOG units.
